Warehouse conversions are popular in Melbourne since homeowners will pay for a premium.

Recently, an apartment in a former cable tramway engine house in North Melbourne was sold at sale price of $680,000. The property has a historical value. It was built in 1888 and was converted into 17 apartments and townhouses.
